Check Out Who I’m Reading This Month!
SO… L.M. Ramirez was a first-time author for me and with new authors I tend to have no expectations, but that makes them no less difficult to exceed. Virgin Sacrifice (Book one of the Dead Girls Club) is one of those books where you’re immediately drawn into its world and it will not release you from its grasp until you’ve devoured more. I hope she doesn’t cringe when I say this, but Luz and Autumn’s contradictions from their names to their personalities instantly reminded me of Wednesday and Enid, (the grumpy vs. sunshine trope in friendships hits harder than in romantic relationships in my humble opinion) and that’s before you meet the male cast. I must admit, I’ve never read a dark-academia, why-choose? romance where an FMC is hell-bent on taking on (on? in?) the whole family and their resident Serial Killer, but I can’t say I’m mad about it 😏
